Ryan Snider (Kammy's Kause):
2022 Choose to Move Gives Back Recipient
The annual Choose to Move race to beat Parkinson’s is a very special event. Kim, her team and the volunteers the morning of the race are like a warm ray of sunshine on your heart. The event is run extremely well from the time you sign up until the final person crosses the finish line. There are a number of race options to choose from. It is a fun upbeat environment with a DJ and so many teams creating a feeling that we can overcome this terrible disease. As if the event and what it stands for wasn’t enough, they also give back to others with their largest team prize donation to that team’s Kause. Kammy’s Kause was honored to receive it in 2022. I promised a childhood friend that passed a couple years ago with Parkinson’s that I would help others, and I appreciate Choose to Move for letting me keep that promise.
Karen McKay, Race Volunteer
Volunteering for the Choose to Move is a huge no brainer for me! I know a guy that is a farmer, gardener, groundskeeper, carpenter, plumber, HVAC technician, car mechanic, house cleaner, joke teller, G-Uber (grandpa Uber), mail carrier driver, councilor, mentor, husband, father, papaw, uncle, son, brother-in-law, prayer warrior and I’m proud to call him my friend and brother! I’ve used most of his talents one time or another and when I was asked to be a volunteer for the Choose to Move, I was honored. I receive more blessings than what I could ever give in volunteering. You can’t out give God and his mighty hand is all over the Choose to Move! I especially love to see my brother and other participants busting some dance moves with the instructor from The Climb!
I love you my brother!
